Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival in Marrakech: The Red City Awakens

As your plane descends into Marrakech, the red earth of Morocco stretches to the horizon, dotted with palms and minarets. Your driver greets you with a warm salaam alaikum and drives you through the city’s rose-colored walls to your riad or hotel— a hidden gem tucked within the medina.

Later, step into Jemaa el-Fna Square, where centuries of tradition unfold every night: snake charmers play their flutes, storytellers captivate circles of listeners, and smoke rises from food stalls grilling skewers of meat. The scent of cumin and saffron fills the air — your first taste of Morocco’s magic.
Overnight: Riad or hotel in Marrakech.

Day 2 Discovering Marrakech: Palaces, Gardens & Souks

Wake to the call of the muezzin echoing from minarets. After breakfast, your guide leads you through Marrakech’s historical heart. Walk beneath the shadow of the Koutoubia Mosque, then step into the Bahia Palace, where marble courtyards and hand-carved cedar ceilings tell stories of royal grandeur.

In the Saadian Tombs, shafts of sunlight illuminate marble resting places of long-forgotten sultans. Outside, the souks hum with life — blacksmiths hammering copper, women bargaining for spices, leatherworkers dyeing skins in rainbow hues.

Pause for lunch in a traditional courtyard restaurant, then wander through the Majorelle Garden, where cobalt fountains and bamboo groves offer calm from the chaos. The garden’s blue walls reflect the legacy of Yves Saint Laurent, who once called Marrakech his muse.
As dusk settles, return to Jemaa el-Fna to see the square transform again into a festival of food and music.
Overnight: Marrakech.

Day 3 Over the High Atlas to Dades Gorge

Leave the city behind as you climb into the High Atlas Mountains. The road winds through Berber villages built of red clay, blending perfectly with the terraced slopes. Children wave as you pass; women in bright shawls carry bundles of firewood on donkeys.

At the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), stop to gaze at snow-dusted peaks before descending into the sun-baked plains beyond. Soon, you reach Aït Benhaddou, a spectacular mudbrick ksar that looks unchanged since medieval times. Walk through its narrow alleys, explore old granaries, and imagine caravans once stopping here en route to Timbuktu.

Continue to Ouarzazate, Morocco’s film capital, where epics like Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator were shot. Then drive along the Valley of Roses, where small villages distill rosewater in May, before reaching Dades Gorge — a deep canyon of red sandstone carved by centuries of wind and water.
At sunset, the cliffs glow crimson as you sit down to a home-cooked Berber dinner.
Dinner & Overnight: Kasbah guesthouse in Dades Valley.

Day 4 Dades Gorge to the Sahara: The Road of a Thousand Kasbahs

The morning air is crisp as you drive deeper into southern Morocco along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Stop at Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon where towering limestone walls rise 300 meters high — a favorite spot for climbers and photographers. Walk along the riverbed, passing women washing clothes in the stream and shepherds leading goats through the palm groves.

By afternoon, the desert begins to unfold — rocky plains turning to waves of golden sand. In Merzouga, your camels wait, swaying gently in the breeze. As you ride toward camp, the sun dips low, painting the dunes in rose and amber. The desert falls silent except for the soft rustle of hooves on sand.

At your Sahara camp, you’re welcomed with mint tea. Dinner is served by lantern light — tagine, warm bread, sweet oranges. Later, sit around the fire as Berber nomads play drums beneath a sky heavy with stars.
Dinner & Overnight: Luxury desert camp.

Day 5 Life in the Sahara: Music, Nomads & Silence

Rise early to watch dawn break over the dunes — the world painted in soft pink and gold. After breakfast, take a 4×4 to explore beyond the dunes. Visit Khamlia village, where the rhythms of Gnawa music echo through the desert, blending African and Berber traditions.

Travel further to meet nomadic families who live in black goat-hair tents, surviving the desert’s harshness with grace and generosity. They’ll pour you tea — three glasses, each symbolizing life, love, and death.

Explore fossil fields where ancient seas once covered this land, then stop by Merzouga Oasis, where a ribbon of palms offers shade and birdsong. Return to camp by afternoon to rest, try sandboarding, or simply watch the desert change color until night falls.
Dinner & Overnight: Merzouga.

Day 6 From the Dunes to the Mountains: Merzouga → Fez

After breakfast, leave the dunes behind as you drive north through the Ziz Valley, its palm groves framed by ancient kasbahs. Pass Errachidia and stop for tea overlooking the valley’s green ribbon cutting through the ochre landscape.

Climb into the Middle Atlas Mountains, crossing through Midelt and the cedar forests of Azrou, where Barbary macaque monkeys watch from the trees. Continue through Ifrane, Morocco’s cleanest and most orderly city, built by the French in alpine style.

As the road descends, the air grows cooler, and by evening you reach Fez, a city that feels frozen in the Middle Ages.
Overnight: Riad or hotel in Fez.

Day 7 The Living History of Fez

Today, step back over a thousand years as you explore Fez el-Bali, the world’s oldest functioning medieval city. Your local guide leads you through labyrinthine alleys where donkeys carry goods, artisans hammer brass by hand, and children hurry to Koranic schools.

Visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, an architectural masterpiece, and the Nejjarine Museum, showcasing the city’s woodworking heritage. Watch the tanners at work in the Chouara Tannery, where hides soak in vibrant pools of natural dye — an unforgettable sight and scent.

In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore more of the medina, shop for handicrafts, or sip tea on a terrace overlooking the rooftops. As the sun sets, climb to the Merenid Tombs for a breathtaking view of Fez bathed in gold.
Overnight: Fez.

Day 8 From the Old World to the Atlantic: Fez → Casablanca

Drive west through rolling farmland to Casablanca, Morocco’s economic hub and coastal powerhouse. Upon arrival, visit the majestic Hassan II Mosque, its 210-meter minaret towering over the Atlantic — one of the few mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslims.

Walk along the Corniche, where palm trees line the oceanfront promenade. You might stop for a seaside lunch or explore the Art Deco buildings downtown. As evening descends, dine at the iconic Rick’s Café, inspired by the classic film Casablanca.
Overnight: Casablanca.

Day 9 Day 9 – Casablanca → Marrakech: Back to the Red City

After breakfast, return to Marrakech, a drive that brings you full circle. Upon arrival, your afternoon is free to revisit your favorite corners of the medina — perhaps the Ben Youssef Madrasa or a final shopping stroll through the souks for ceramics, lanterns, or spices.

Later, share a farewell dinner on a rooftop overlooking the twinkling city — a final taste of Moroccan warmth and hospitality.
Overnight: Marrakech.

Day 10 Departure from Marrakech

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast in your riad courtyard before your transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport. As the plane lifts off, the red city fades below, leaving you with memories of desert sunsets, mountain passes, and Morocco’s eternal rhythm.

Ma’a as-salama — go in peace.
